Location

Two hours north.
Worlds away.

Barryville sits in Sullivan County, where the Delaware River forms the border between New York and Pennsylvania. The surrounding forests are ancient, the roads are quiet, and the night sky is genuinely dark.

The nearest town is Narrowsburg — a river town with a good diner, a bookshop, and not much else, which is exactly the point. Port Jervis and the train back to Penn Station are thirty minutes south.

Guest Reviews

Heard from the nest.

★★★★★

"We've done plenty of Catskills cabins but Il Nido hit differently. Completely renovated, private, and somehow still totally quiet. The fire pit became our living room by the second night."

★★★★★

"Kitchen was dialed — we cooked every single meal and never felt like we were roughing it. The morning light through those windows is something else."

★★★★★

"Third trip and we just booked our fourth. The location on Route 97 is unbeatable — Bethel Woods, the river, Seminary Hill all in one long weekend. It never feels rushed."

★★★★★

"Exactly right for a family long weekend. The kids lived at the fire pit, the adults found their quiet corners, and six people never felt like too many."
